Elena Gallego-Clemente
Bioinformatics Scientist
Elena holds a degree in Biology from the University of León and a Master’s in Research in Fundamental Biology and Biomedicine from the same institution. To further specialize, she earned an additional Master’s in Biostatistics and Bioinformatics through a collaboration between the European Center for Masters and Postgraduates and the Catholic University of Murcia.
She is currently pursuing a PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the University of León. Her expertise includes bioinformatic analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, interpretation of medical data, and advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
Her passion lies in unraveling the secrets of biology through bioinformatics and statistics, contributing to the advancement of science and medicine.
Victor Moreno-González
Bioinformatics Scientist, Ph.D.
Víctor holds a degree in Biology from the University of León, a PhD in Functional and Applied Ecology from the same university, and a Master’s in Bioinformatics from the University of Valencia. His background includes extensive experience in omics data analysis (genomics, transcriptomics, metagenomics), phylogenetic inference, and biostatistics. During his doctorate, he specialized in the evolution of gall induction in aphids from an integrative and multidisciplinary perspective, honing his skills in phylogenetic inference, evolutionary ecology, regression analysis, and multivariate analysis.
He is passionate about biology and ecology and enjoys applying his expertise in bioinformatics and biostatistics to tackle complex scientific questions. His programming skills in R and Python enable him to develop and customize data analyses, as well as create tailored bioinformatic tools.
