Análisis metagenómico
Metagenomic analysis is a technique increasingly used for its ability to describe microbial communities from taxonomic-ecological and functional points of view.
After obtaining the sequences, it is time to understand the data. Metagenomic analysis can be very complicated and, in some cases, requires a great deal of computational power.

QC and Pre-processing
Raw samples often contain some poor quality or short length readings. The last positions of each reading have a decline in quality. Occasionally, there is a contaminant or a sequencer adapter. To prevent this from affecting the metagenomic analysis, quality control and preprocessing of the samples is necessary.

Assembly
After having the readings filtered and with a good quality, it is time to assemble the readings in order to obtain the contigs .

Taxonomic assignment
After assembling the samples, it is now possible to know which species make up your community using a phylogenetic marker (16S rRNA, ITS, etc.). This is a key step in the metagenomic analysis to describe the community.

Análisis funcional
